  • Why are Thermography Surveys important?

March 8, 2019  by Rebekka Gough
Adam Nguyen - Thermal Imaging Technician

The above image is an example of one of the faults found during a recent thermography survey. The cable and termination serving a tap-off unit was found to be operating at an elevated temperature.

A reducing temperature gradient can be noticed from the crimped termination, indicating a high resistance connection. Jaguar were able to rectify this issue at the earliest opportunity by replacing the lug and reterminating the cable.

Our extensive experience in maintaining critical environments means that we understand the importance of using predictive maintenance technology quickly, accurately and safely locate problems.

That’s why we carry out all thermography surveys in-house. Adam Nguyen works within our Technical Team and has been making his ...

  • We're into Saving Energy

    May 3, 2019

Jaguar’s Technical Team carry out Energy Monitoring and Targeting (M&T) across our portfolio.

An effective M&T scheme will provide essential underpinning of your building’s energy management, allowing you to:

    1. Detect avoidable waste.
    2. Identify overall trends in energy performance.
    3. Quantifying energy savings.
    4. Identify potential lines of investigation.
    5. Provide feedback for staff awareness.
    6. Improve budget setting.

M&T was used at one of our sites to quantify the energy savings following on from a project carried out to improve chiller efficiency.

    Annual Savings:

    • 50,750 kWh
    • £5,075
    • 14,255 KgCO2
