Our Approach to Employee Benefits and Retention

We recognise the importance of supporting our people and are always looking for ways to improve what we offer. Our benefits package is continually evolving to meet the needs of our workforce, shaped not only by industry standards but also by direct input from our dedicated staff panel. When new ideas or improvements are suggested, they are reviewed at director level, ensuring every voice is heard.

This collaborative approach has enabled us to build and maintain a benefits portfolio we’re genuinely proud of, including Vitality health cover, generous annual leave with a buy-back scheme, wellbeing support, financial flexibility options, and a wide range of lifestyle benefits.

Our current staff retention rate stands at 85%, with 100% senior staff retention over the past five years, demonstrating the strength, stability and long-term commitment of our people.

Our Retrain Scheme

At Jaguar, we’re committed to developing our people. Launched in 2022, our Retrain scheme provides a clear pathway for administrative team members to train as fully qualified Building Services Engineers.

As proud members of The 5% Club, 5% of our workforce are in “earn and learn” roles, reflecting our ongoing commitment to developing skills at every level of the business.

More than just a training initiative, Retrain helps tackle the industry’s skills shortage while opening up opportunities for a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

How the scheme Works

Salary Security
Employees keep their existing salary while retraining, providing stability and peace of mind.

Structured Apprenticeship
Participants move into a full-time apprenticeship, combining hands-on experience with structured learning on the job.

Recognised Qualification
Apprentices attend college one day a week, working towards a nationally recognised qualification in building services.

Education Partnership
We partner with New City College to deliver high-quality training and ongoing support

Why It Matters

Our Retrain scheme creates long-term career opportunities for employees who may not have previously considered engineering roles, opening up new and accessible pathways within the business. It has also helped in supporting gender diversity in an industry where it still remains a challenge. At the same time, it builds on existing internal experience, with former Site Administrators bringing valuable operational knowledge into their new roles, strengthening both their own development and overall site productivity.

Focusing on internal development allows us to strengthen skills across the business and support a more inclusive workforce.
