Leading Safety Through Awareness and Action
Through ongoing safety campaigns and targeted bulletins addressing high-risk topics such as working at height, asbestos awareness, and confined spaces, the team reinforces safe behaviour and keeps safety front of mind across all sites.
With a proactive, hands-on approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, our team plays a critical role in maintaining safe environments for staff, clients, and partners. Their involvement in national initiatives, including the No Falls Foundation’s No Falls Week, supported by a range of internal awareness activities, reflects our dedication to industry-wide safety leadership. These efforts have contributed to multiple awards and accreditations, showcasing the high standards we uphold throughout the business.
Our Safety-Led Culture
We believe that safe working practices are the foundation of quality service. Leading this ethos is our Associate Director & SHEQ Manager, Louise Davies, a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) with several years of expertise in the building services industry. Louise champions a positive, collaborative health and safety culture, working closely with teams at every level to ensure shared responsibility and clear communication.
A strong learning culture underpins everything we do. All incidents and near misses are reviewed using root cause analysis, with lessons learned shared widely through safety bulletins and team briefings. Digital safety platforms further support this approach by enabling real-time reporting, tracking corrective actions, managing training requirements, and monitoring compliance across every site.
Our team of nine health & safety professionals supports the delivery of our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) strategy, ensuring compliance, best practice, and ongoing risk reduction across all operations. We also engage an independent external specialist to carry out statutory audits, providing an objective assessment of compliance and supporting our sites in achieving consistently high standards of health and safety.
Celebrating Safe Practices
To reinforce our values and highlight exceptional contributions, we recognise individuals who go above and beyond with our quarterly Health & Safety Champion award. This celebrates team members who exemplify safe behaviours and make meaningful contributions to creating safer workplaces.
From toolbox talks to strategic oversight, our Health & Safety Team ensures Jaguar operates with integrity and care, protecting people and setting the benchmark for industry excellence.
Prioritising Compliance to Protect Our Customers
Compliance is more than just a regulatory requirement, it’s fundamental to delivering a safe, reliable service. At Jaguar, we take this responsibility seriously. Our dedicated Compliance Team, led by Mark Richardson, Compliance Manager, ensures that statutory logbooks are consistently maintained to the highest standards across every site we manage.
To enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency, we have developed a fully digital suite of statutory compliance logs integrated within our Apprise system. This provides real-time visibility of compliance activities, giving both our teams and clients confidence that statutory requirements are being proactively managed and accurately recorded.
