Developing Fire Safety Knowledge Across Our Apprenticeship Scheme

Last week, we were proud to host a two-day Fire Detection & Protection course for 21 of our apprentices at our George Yard Training Hub. Delivered by EA-RS Group Ltd, the programme was designed to give them valuable insight into the vital role fire safety plays across the building services industry.

The course provided an introduction to fire safety systems, compliance requirements, fire strategies and the innovative technologies used to protect people, property and assets within commercial buildings. It also offered a unique opportunity for our apprentices to learn directly from experienced professionals and gain a deeper understanding of this specialist area of the industry.

Investing in the next generation of talent remains a key priority for us. By creating opportunities for our apprentices to broaden their knowledge, develop new skills and engage with industry specialists, we are helping to build a stronger, more capable workforce for the future.

The feedback from our apprentices was extremely positive, with many highlighting the value of learning about real-world fire safety challenges and gaining exposure to an area of the industry they may not otherwise experience during their day-to-day roles.

A special thank you to Camilla Schofield and Roger Starling for organising the event, and to everyone who contributed to making it such a success.
