Our Commitment to Growth from Within – Jaguar’s Retrain Scheme

At Jaguar, we believe talent doesn’t always need to be hired, sometimes, it’s already part of your team.

Our Retrain Scheme is an internal development initiative that enables administrative team members to become fully qualified building services engineers. It’s a unique programme designed to empower career transformation, promote inclusion, and help address the industry’s growing skills gap.

One of the many success stories is Steve Broughton, who has been with us for over 10 years, and has just completed his three-year apprenticeship. Steve said:

“I felt a bit apprehensive about taking the leap at first, but a manager on one of the sites where I was working at the time encouraged me to take the opportunity. I am incredibly grateful for his advice and glad I decided to pursue it. The studying has been challenging, but I’ve really enjoyed it.”

As proud members of The 5% Club, we’re committed to having at least 5% of our workforce in ‘earn and learn’ roles and Retrain is a key part of that promise. It’s more than just a development scheme, it’s an investment in our people and in the future of engineering.
